The Anchor is a 16th Century inn located in Hartland, North Devon, with pub, restaurant and hotel; the bar is dog-friendly. At the rear of the pub is a car park and a south-facing sun-terrace with lovely rural views. Our restaurant offers fine food in a comfortable, congenial atmosphere, with a wide choice of vegetarian and vegan options always available. The Anchor provides both free WiFi and free charging for your mobile devices. The Crow's Nest (a luxury self-contained, self-catering apartment with separate access) is also dog-friendly, making it the ideal holiday destination for pet owners.
The Bar
The Anchor offers a comprehensive range of real ales, lagers, ciders, wines and spirits. Guest Ales are regularly featured; please ask at the bar.

The Terrace
Relax and enjoy drinks and meals on our sun-terrace with superb views down the valley toward the sea; a wonderful vantage point from which to enjoy the setting sun.
REnovations
In 2021, The Anchor underwent major restoration, both pub and hotel being extensively renovated.

BAR RESTORed
This is the oldest part of The Anchor and the recent restoration has exposed much of its original, beautiful stone and brickwork, dating from the early 16th Century.

Well-behaved dogs are always welcome in the bar at The Anchor Inn. For pet owners planning a holiday in North Devon, we also offer dog-friendly accommodation in our luxury, self-catering apartment, 'The Crow's Nest'. Please ask staff for more information.

The Anchor is maintained to a very high standard by our dedicated staff; our housekeeper is usually on hand during business hours should guests require assistance.

A wide choice of breakfasts is available for our hotel guests, including full English, vegetarian and vegan options. Breakfast is included in the price of the rooms (excluding The Crow's Nest).
